Rolls razor vintage shaving kit. A patented razor kit by Rolls Razor Ltd of Cricklewood, London. The Rolls razor was patented in 1927 and in production until around 1957. The kit consists of a razor handle and blade contained in a nickel plated metal box. The box contains a sharpening system that allows the blade to be slid along a sharpening stone contained inside one lid, and a red leather strop inside the other lid. It was considered a luxury item in its day with silver and gold plated boxes being made.
This example is complete and contained in its original card box. The outside of the box is soiled and the hinge is worn but it is otherwise in good condition. The razor and its metal box are in excellent used condition. The outer box measures 6" by 3"
